HEAR rebates help low- and moderate-income Wisconsin households make their homes more energy efficient by providing rebates for qualifying electrification upgrades including heat pump water heaters, heat pumps for space heating/cooling, electrical panels, wiring, insulation/air sealing, heat pump clothes dryers, and electric stoves/cooktops/ranges. Households below 80% AMI can receive up to 100% of project costs, while households between 80–150% AMI can receive up to 50% of project costs, with a maximum of $14,000 total per household. Most upgrades require an IRA Registered Contractor, while select kitchen/laundry equipment and heat pump water heaters may be purchased at retail stores.
