The Washington State Department of Commerce State Energy Office awards competitive grants for Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) clean energy projects to Washington-based entities. Funded projects must develop and acquire capital assets with a lifespan of 13+ years and are expected to be completed within 24–36 months of award. Non-state matching funds at a 1:1 or greater ratio are required.
