The Washington State Department of Commerce State Energy Office awards competitive grants for Research, Development and Demonstration (RD&D) clean energy projects. Funds must be used to develop and acquire capital assets with a lifespan of 13+ years, with projects expected to complete within 24–36 months of award. Non-state matching funds are required at a 1:1 or greater ratio.
