TDHCA operates the Weatherization Assistance Program using funds from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and LIHEAP to help low-income households control energy costs. The program funds energy audits and installation of weatherization measures (insulation, caulking, weather-stripping, duct work, HVAC tune-up/repair/replacement, etc.) to increase home energy efficiency. It is administered through subrecipients covering all 254 Texas counties.
