South Carolina's Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program will provide point-of-sale rebates to low- and moderate-income households for the purchase and installation of energy-saving electric appliances and upgrades, including heat pump water heaters, electric heat pumps, electric stoves/cooktops/ovens, heat pump clothes dryers, and electric panel and wiring upgrades. Most projects must be completed through program-approved contractors, though a DIY option is available for certain appliance purchases.
