Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) Program

A rebate program funded through the Inflation Reduction Act that provides rebates to customers undergoing a home energy improvement modeled to reduce energy use by a minimum of 20%. Rhode Island received approximately $32 million for this program. The program will provide funding for multifamily properties to upgrade heating systems to energy-efficient heat pumps. The application has been accepted and is pending U.S. Department of Energy approval to launch.
