Green Energy Loan Fund (GELF)

A revolving low-interest loan fund managed by the Reinvestment Fund on behalf of the Pennsylvania DEP, financing energy efficiency retrofits, energy conservation measures, high-performance energy systems, on-site renewable energy systems, and combined heat-and-power systems in buildings throughout Pennsylvania. The program has lent over $17 million to projects across the state.

- Projects involving energy conservation and efficiency improvements in existing occupied buildings or new construction that result in a 25% reduction in energy consumption. Four eligible categories: (1) one or two energy retrofit measures or replacement of single systems/equipment in an existing, occupied building; (2) multiple energy retrofit measures in an existing, occupied building; (3) gut rehab of an existing building; (4) new construction of a building or an addition to a building.
