Ohio REAP Grant Assistance Program
Ohio — state programup to 25% of total eligible project costs
SOPEC offers free assistance to eligible Ohio rural small businesses and agricultural producers in preparing a USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant application at no cost. The underlying REAP grant provides up to 25% of total eligible project costs for investments in renewable energy systems or energy efficiency improvements. SOPEC partners with Rural Action's Sustainable Energy team to provide full grant writing support throughout the application process.

- Rural small businesses (private for-profit entities — Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, or Corporation — located in an eligible rural area as defined by USDA Rural Business Services, meeting SBA size standards) and agricultural producers (entities directly engaged in agricultural production with at least 50% of gross income from agricultural operations; do not need to be in a rural area or be for-profit).
