Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR)

Provides rebates for the purchase and installation of high-efficiency electrical appliances and home electrification upgrades, such as heat pump water heaters, electric stoves, electrical panels, and heat pump clothes dryers. Maximum rebate is $14,000 per dwelling, with individual project rebates ranging from $840 to $8,000.

- Eligibility
- Single-family homeowners, multifamily building owners, and tenants (with owner permission) with household income below 150% of Area Median Income. Low-income residents (below 80% AMI) receive up to 100% of project costs; moderate-income residents (80%–150% AMI) receive up to 50% of project costs. Appliances must be ENERGY STAR certified. Contractors must perform installation. Total rebate cannot exceed actual project costs.
