Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR)

Provides rebates for the purchase and installation of high-efficiency electrical appliances and home electrification upgrades, such as heat pump water heaters, electric stoves, heat pump dryers, electrical panels, and wiring. Appliances must be ENERGY STAR certified and installed by a certified contractor.

- Single-family homeowners, multifamily building owners, and tenants (with owner permission) with household income below 150% of Area Median Income. Up to 100% of project costs for income <80% AMI; up to 50% of project costs for income between 80%–150% AMI. Not eligible if income exceeds 150% AMI. Renters need landlord approval. Multifamily building owners can receive a greater rebate level if over 50% of tenants meet income eligibility requirements.
