- Building owners or tenants (with landlord approval and lease extending one year past construction timeline) undertaking retrofit projects on existing buildings in New Jersey. Applicants must demonstrate ability to cover project costs not covered by the grant plus a 10% contingency. Projects must use Public Works Registered Contractors paying NJ prevailing wages. New construction, gut rehab/redevelopment, and projects already receiving NJ Cool program funding are ineligible.
