The New Jersey Green Bank (NJGB) provides debt financing (senior, subordinate, or mezzanine) for clean energy projects located in New Jersey. Eligible project categories include renewable energy generation, electric battery storage, building retrofits and new net-zero construction, and zero-emission vehicles and charging/fueling infrastructure. Applicants begin with an Expression of Interest (EOI) form before receiving a full application link.

- Private for-profit entities (including SPVs), non-profit entities, academic institutions, municipalities & counties, and municipal/county/regional/state redevelopment agencies/independent authorities. Must be registered to do business in New Jersey with a valid tax clearance certificate. Projects must be located in NJ, reduce/avoid GHG emissions and other air pollutants, utilize only commercially proven technologies (deployed commercially at least 3 times for at least 5 years in the US), require a minimum $1,000,000 and maximum $10,000,000 in NJGB debt support, have a minimum debt service cove
