Provides grants to commercial, industrial, or institutional building owners or tenants in eligible New Jersey communities to fund building retrofits that switch heating loads from fossil fuel-based systems to non-combustion systems and/or replace high-GWP refrigerants, along with supporting energy efficiency improvements. Grant awards are calculated at 50% of total eligible project costs, net of other incentive payments.

- Commercial, industrial, or institutional building owner OR a commercial, industrial, or institutional tenant with landlord/building owner approval; must have a valid NJ tax clearance certificate no older than 180 days at time of application approval; must be in good standing with NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development and NJ Department of Environmental Protection; must demonstrate proof of funding/financing for estimated project costs plus 15% contingency. Building must be an existing building located in an NJ Environmental Justice Law designated Overburdened Community or Adjacent Co
