Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program

A rebate program created under the Inflation Reduction Act to help New Hampshire homeowners reduce the upfront cost of energy-efficient electric appliances and home upgrades, including heat pumps, electric stoves, heat pump water heaters, insulation, and electrical upgrades. Rebates are available only to households earning up to 150% of area median income, with higher rebate percentages for lower-income households. The program is expected to launch Fall 2026.

Households earning up to 150% of area median income. Households earning between 80% and 150% of AMI are eligible for rebates up to 50% of project costs. Households earning less than 80% of AMI are eligible for rebates up to 100% of project costs. Projects must be initiated after the program has officially launched.
