Michigan's Grid Resiliency Program sub-awards federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL/IIJA) Section 40101(d) formula grant funds to eligible Michigan utilities and other eligible entities to improve resilience and enhance the reliability of the electric grid. EGLE administers the program in partnership with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). Round 2 has $9,313,204 available, split 50/50 between large and small operators.

- Must be physically located in Michigan and be an Investor-Owned Utility (IOU), Cooperative Utility, or Municipality Utility. In 2025, other eligible entities (OEE) — including transmission owners or operators, electricity storage operators, fuel suppliers, and other relevant entities as determined by the Secretary of Energy — can apply if partnered with a Michigan utility leading the proposal.
