Michigan's Grid Resiliency Program sub-awards federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL/IIJA) Section 40101(d) formula grant funds to eligible Michigan utilities and other entities to improve resilience and enhance the reliability of the electric grid. EGLE administers the program in partnership with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). Round 2 makes $9,313,204 available, split equally between large and small operators.

- Applicants must be physically located in Michigan and one of the following: Investor-Owned Utilities (IOU), Cooperative Utilities, Municipality Utilities. In 2025, other eligible entities (OEE) can apply if partnered with a Michigan utility that is leading the proposal. OEE includes transmission owners or operators, electricity storage operators, fuel suppliers, and other relevant entities as determined by the Secretary of Energy.
