Michigan's Grid Resiliency Program sub-awards federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL/IIJA) Section 40101(d) formula grant funds to eligible Michigan utilities and other entities to improve resilience and enhance the reliability of the electric grid. Round 2 makes $9,313,204 available, split equally between large and small operators, with required matching contributions.

- Must be physically located in Michigan and be an Investor-Owned Utility (IOU), Cooperative Utility, or Municipality Utility. In 2025, other eligible entities (OEE) — including transmission owners or operators, electricity storage operators, fuel suppliers, and other relevant entities as determined by the Secretary of Energy — can apply if partnered with a Michigan utility that is leading the proposal.
