Michigan's sub-award program under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Section 40101(d) Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resiliency of the Electric Grid Formula Grants. EGLE, in partnership with MPSC, distributes federal grid resiliency funds to eligible Michigan utilities and other entities to improve resilience and reliability of the electric grid. Round 2 has $9,313,204 available, split 50/50 between large and small operators.

- Eligibility
- Must be physically located in Michigan and be an Investor-Owned Utility (IOU), Cooperative Utility, or Municipality Utility. In 2025, other eligible entities (OEE) — including transmission owners or operators, electricity storage operators, fuel suppliers, and other relevant entities as determined by the Secretary of Energy — can apply if partnered with a Michigan utility leading the proposal.
