EGLE offers financial assistance to local governments, tribal governments, and other public-service entities in Michigan to improve energy management and accelerate implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Eligible projects include energy management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, fleet electrification, EV charging infrastructure, sustainable financing solutions, and clean energy workforce development. Grants are distributed on a reimbursement basis.

- Eligibility
- Applicants must be physically located in Michigan and be a local government, tribal government, or other public service entity. Public schools and universities are not eligible. Renewable energy projects will only be considered after all, or a majority of, energy efficiency upgrades have been completed as identified in an ASHRAE Level II audit.
