Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Massachusetts is a program administered by MassDevelopment that allows commercial, industrial, multifamily (5+ units), and nonprofit property owners to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements through a betterment assessment and lien on their property, repaid via private capital providers. Financing terms extend up to 20 years, with no upfront costs, and the assessment transfers to subsequent property owners upon sale.
