The Commercial and Canopy Solar Program (CCSP) provides grant funding to support solar energy installations—including rooftop-mounted, ground-mounted, and solar canopy systems over parking or bodies of water—on commercial properties in Maryland. It serves nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations, with a focus on providing direct benefits to low-to-moderate income and overburdened communities. The program has two Areas of Interest: Equitable Solar Access for Organizations (AOI 1) and Commercial Solar for Sustainability (AOI 2).

- Eligibility
- AOI 1: Nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations registered to operate in Maryland that have been designated as, or are actively in the process of being designated as, a non-profit organization, a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), or are Veteran-Owned. AOI 2: Maryland businesses and organizations that own or operate eligible facilities. Participating parking facilities must be 'EV ready.' Solar PV systems purchased by applicants and third-party owned solar energy systems are eligible.
