Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) Program

A finance initiative of the Efficiency Maine Green Bank that allows commercial property owners to access financing for energy efficiency and clean energy improvements on their buildings, repaid over time via a property tax assessment with an associated lien on the subject property. The program supports longer-term financing and deeper building retrofits beyond what traditional financing may allow.

- Commercial property owners located in a participating municipality; property must be a Qualifying Property with a Qualifying Project; applicants must select a Registered Capital Provider for C-PACE financing. Capital providers must apply and be approved as Registered Capital Providers. Municipalities must adopt a C-PACE ordinance and execute a C-PACE Municipality Participation Agreement with the Trust.
