Kansas Net Metering Policy

Kansas net metering allows customers of Evergy and Liberty Utilities (Empire District) to generate their own electricity through renewable energy sources such as solar panels or wind turbines, and receive credits for the excess electricity they generate and sell back to their utility. Utilities are required to provide participating customer-generators with a bi-directional meter at no additional cost.
