Kansas Net Metering (Net Metering and Easy Connection Act)

Kansas net metering allows customers of Evergy and Liberty Utilities (Empire District) to generate their own electricity through renewable energy sources such as solar panels or wind turbines and receive credits for excess electricity exported back to the grid. Participating customer-generators receive a bi-directional meter at no additional cost and credits for net excess generation that reduce their monthly electric bill.
