Kansas Net Metering and Easy Connection Act

Kansas net metering policy allows customers of Evergy and Liberty Utilities (Empire District) to generate their own electricity through renewable energy sources such as solar panels or wind turbines, and receive credits for the extra electricity they generate and sell back to their utility. Eligible customers receive a bi-directional meter at no additional cost and credits for net excess generation.
