The Iowa Grid Resilience Fund provides grants to eligible entities to improve the all-hazards resilience of the electric grid and reduce the frequency and duration of outages. Funded through the U.S. Department of Energy via the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the program supports a wide range of resilience measures to mitigate the impact of disruptive events. The Iowa Energy Office administers the program for five years to strengthen and modernize Iowa's power grid against severe weather.
