Iowa Energy Center Grant Program

A competitive grant program funded by gas and electric utilities across Iowa and administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority. It provides grants to eligible applicants for projects that benefit Iowa ratepayers and align with key focus areas of the Iowa Energy Plan, such as energy R&D, workforce development, biomass conversion, grid modernization, and alternative fuel vehicles.

Eligibility
Iowa businesses, colleges and universities, and private nonprofit agencies and foundations. Applicants may apply individually, jointly with other eligible applicants, or jointly with ineligible applicants (but cannot act solely as a passthrough to an ineligible entity). A principal investigator may submit one application per funding announcement.
