IL EPA grant program established under CEJA (Public Act 102-0662) to fund installation and maintenance of publicly-available Level 2 and Level 3 (DC fast) charging stations. Awards consistent with Illinois Commerce Commission-approved Beneficial Electrification Plans. Program rules at 35 Ill. Adm. Code 285. Round 3 opened November 17, 2025 with ~$20M on first-come-first-served basis; currently closed (all funding requested) pending re-opening notification via the Driving a Cleaner Illinois listserv.

- Public or private organizations and companies installing publicly-accessible Level 2 or Level 3 (DCFC) charging stations in Illinois. Stations must remain publicly available and maintained per program terms. Up to 80% of installation cost funded; additional adders for stations sited in eligible/equity communities. Apply via AmpliFund grant submission portal when round is open.

Sign up for the DACI listserv to receive re-opening notification — IL EPA does not pre-announce future NOFOs. Stackable with NEVI for additional charging coverage; cannot exceed total project cost.
