- Current residential Nicor Gas customers. Thermostat must be ENERGY STAR certified or approved by Nicor Gas, installed on a system with residential-sized natural gas space heating equipment, in a home with working Wi-Fi, with geo-fencing capabilities. Limit 1 smart thermostat rebate per household/account. Customers who already received a smart thermostat rebate from Nicor Gas through another offering do not qualify.
