- Current residential Nicor Gas customers. Furnace must be ≥97% AFUE, installed by a professional contractor. Smart thermostat must be ENERGY STAR® certified, installed on a system with residential-sized natural gas space heating equipment, in a home with working Wi-Fi, with geo-fencing capabilities. Limit 1 smart thermostat rebate per household/account. Both must be submitted on the same application.
