The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps low-income individuals and families conserve energy, save money, and increase the comfort of their homes by making them more cost effective and energy efficient. Community Action Agencies work with utility companies and state and local agencies to assess, recommend, and install weatherization improvements in eligible homes throughout Idaho. Funding is limited and available year-round on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Low-income individuals and families who can prove ownership of their housing unit or have signed written permission from a qualifying landlord. Weatherization services must show the cost of work will save the family money. Home safety and health risks are also considered. Priority is given to families with children, elderly and disabled members, or eligible families with emergency heating situations.
