Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)

The Weatherization Assistance Program helps low-income individuals and families conserve energy, save money, and increase home comfort by making homes more energy efficient. Community Action Agencies work with utility companies and state and local agencies to assess, recommend, and install weatherization improvements in eligible homes throughout Idaho. Funding is limited and available year-round on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility
Low-income families who can prove ownership of their housing unit or have signed written permission from a qualifying landlord. Weatherization services must show the cost of work will save the family money. Home safety and health risks are also considered. Priority is given to families with children, elderly and disabled members, or eligible families with emergency heating situations.
