GEFA provides low-interest loans to eligible Georgia borrowers for natural gas system improvements and expansions, including pipelines, storage tanks, distribution systems, and related equipment. The program is designed to enhance system reliability and safety, support economic development, and improve quality of life for Georgians.

Eligibility
Cities and counties, state and local authorities, and boards or political subdivisions created by the General Assembly. Eligible projects must operate outside any certified area of a nonmunicipal gas company and involve acquiring, rehabilitating, constructing, or planning for the storage, supply, and distribution of natural gas in Georgia.
