Colorado's Home Energy Rebate Program (HEAR) provides rebates to income-qualified households and multifamily building owners/operators for home energy improvements. Eligibility is based on household income relative to Area Median Income (AMI), with different tiers for single-family homes and multifamily buildings. Applicants must work with a registered contractor and verify income through an online application.

- Must reside in an existing home (new construction ineligible) in Colorado for at least half of the year. Secondary homes and vacation homes are not eligible. Rental homes and units occupied by income-qualified tenants can participate. For single-family: household income below 80% AMI or between 80%–150% AMI in the county qualifies. For multifamily buildings smaller than 50,000 sq ft: at least 50% of households must have incomes below 80% AMI or between 80%–150% AMI. Households at 150% AMI and above do not qualify.
