PG&E offers rebates to customers who purchase qualified portable generators (CARB-compliant) or portable batteries (290Wh–1,000Wh). Customers must submit an application with a copy of their receipt after purchasing and receiving the qualified product.

- Portable generators must be on PG&E's qualified product list and be CARB compliant. Portable batteries must be between 290Wh and 1,000Wh (not greater than 1kWh). Excludes resale, rebuilt, refurbished, open-box, rented, or leased (less than five years) products; batteries from warranty/insurance claims, exchanged, or won as a prize; products with new parts installed in existing battery or discounted by PG&E at point of sale; USB power stations, USB power banks, power inverters, non-integrated batteries, car batteries, and commercial power stations.
