The Alaska Renewable Energy Fund (REF) provides competitive grant funding for qualifying renewable energy projects across Alaska, including feasibility studies, engineering and design, and construction activities. The program is designed to fund projects that produce cost-effective renewable energy for heat and power, benefiting Alaskans statewide. Since inception, 371 REF grants totaling $351 million have been awarded.
